The analysis of a printed wire antenna of arbitrary configurationis presented. The electric field tangential to the wire is derived usingthe current expanded by piecewise sinusoidal functions. These functionsare also used to form the impedance matrix elements. Use of thestationary phase method leads to a simple expression for the radiationfield. The numerical analyses based on the present formulation reveal theradiation characteristics of a zigzag dipole antenna, a loop antenna, and around spiral antenna
