長崎市に於ける野犬のLeptospira抗体保有率に就いて

During three months (10-12/1954), we took the blood of 213 stray dogs in Nagasaki city and enforced the Schuffner-Mochtar's reaction of their sera with sex stubs of L. icterohaemorrhagiae, L. autumnalis, L. hebdomadis, L. australis A, L. pyrogenes and L. canicola. The results were as follows: 1) Among 213 stray dogs, 8 dogs (3.8%) showed positive reaction for L. icterohaemorrhaglae, 51 (23.9%) presented positive reaction for L. canicola, 6 (2.8%) reacted in equal grade for each stub of both leptospirae and other 2 (0.9%) L. autumnalis, 1 (0.5%) L. australis A. 2) In the relation between sex and positivity rate the male had tendency to show a little higher positive rate. As far as age and positivity rate, were concerned, we could not find a definite relationship. As for the local location dogs in the periphery of the city showed higher positive rate than the dogs in the central part of the city.
