Photobrightening of photodarkened CdS- and CdS x Se1 - x -doped glasses was investigated using luminescence and electron spin resonance (ESR). Photobrightening depends on wavelength of laser light, and it is observed in all samples investigated, when wavelength of laser light is longer than that of absorption edge. Photobrightening depends on glass composition.
