This paper will propose the following three items about the study of teaching materials for Japanese language teaching.1 The purpose of the study of teaching materials for Japanese language teaching is to bring up active learners who are willing to respond to the strategy of a writer and to deepen their viewpoints on reality.2 It is necessary for learners to have the knowledge of Rhetoric and Grammar in studyingteaching materials for Japanese language teaching.3 The purpose of Japanese language education is to cultivate a learners' ability to learn how to learn Japanese language.
