Time-averaged pressure distributions on the surface of a hemisphere immersed in a fully-developed turbulent boundary layer on a smooth plane wall were measured in order to elucidate the relation between aerodynamic force acting on the hemisphere and characteristics of the boundary layers. The drag coefficient defined by C__Dγ=D/(1/2pU^2_γA) was found to be expressed by a power function solely of du_γ/ν in the region d/o^〜<__〜1.0, where D is the form drag, u_γ the shear velocity, ν the kinematic viscosity and A the projection area of the hemisphere, respectively
