• Fossil fuel-fired power generation is responsible for the majority of power supply in the world. In addition, it is also large role to compensate for instability of renewable energy. On the other hand, thermal power generation is one of the main cause of CO2 emissions. Under such circumstances, efficiency improvements of thermal power generation give the benefits in many aspects, such as environmental protection, supply reliability of power, and so on. In this presentation, I will introduce the overview of the thermal efficiency improvement to date and the outlook for the future
