For the heat recovery from the exhaust that includes smell and poisonous substance, we developed the highly effective total heat exchanger using air washer that the exhaust air doesn1t contaminate supply air. In the process of development, it was clarified that the heat exchange performance of the air washer improved by installing the heat exchange media. Moreover,it was confinned that the circulation volume of water can be decreased to L/G=0.8. This total heat exchanger can be operated on the average by the system efficiency of about 50%.
