• Conventional failure analyzes use functional model only. Though failure modes can be ex pressed by the combinations of structural abnormal modes and subsequent functional failures, the conventional method highly depends on practitioner's experiences in specifying these ab normal modes that is indispensable in order to set proactive measures. The authors proposes the logical procedure by combining SSM(Stress-Strength model) and system safety concept for more convenient failure analyzes and applies it to the case study of micro windmill
