In order to develop the new prosthetic system for amputees to be able to go up and down stairs freely, the improvement in functional of a prosthetic ankle joint as well as a prosthetic knee joint is considered to be indispensable. For this purpose, it is necessary to investigate in detail what kind of role the ankle joint has while walking stairs. In this research, I analyzed the stairs walking when adding some restrictions to an ankle joint, and observed what kind of differences of the dynamic data are found. First of all, we turned out the stairs which can measure the reaction force concerning a leg as time series data. Subsequently, I made the orthotic system which restricts the movable region of the leg joint of a healthy leg, and gait analyses of upstairs were conducted using the system.
