This paper is performed to investigate energy performance on the reference model which is school building with flat roof using DOE 2.1. These results are compared and analyzed energy performance on the gable roof, inclined roof type and mansard roof type. The total load of gable roof type and inclined roof type are 1,495.228 MWh and 1,501.236 MWh respectively. But the heating and cooling load are 714,950 MWh and 775,189 MWh, total load is 1490.139 MWh of mansard roof type. As the heating and cooling load of building is affected by roof type, the energy reduction effect of heating and cooling load of building with mansard roof type is superior to those of building with gable roof and flat roof. According to this paper, the total load of building is affected by exterior surface area than the inclined angle and type of roof of building
