Organic compounds containing azopyridine groups have remarkable aggregative properties in their self-assembled processes, which have been widely described and practically applied in fabrication of various soft matters showing different nanostructures. Amphiphilic molecules generally showed superstructures such as micelles in the water. However, the reports of these superstructures with responsive properties to external stimuli as Ultrasound (US) are limited. In this work, aggregation of cationic azopyridinium dye and polyacrylic acid (PAA) was examined in water. We investigated UV-vis absorption of azopyridinium salt in mixture solution, when US having 43kHz(50W) was exposed. It was observed that UV-vis maximum absorption intensity of azopyridinium salt was decreased with increasing US esxposure. Hypochromic effect indicated that external stimuli of US influenced the aggregation of superstructures of amphiphilic azopyridinium salt in aqueous PAA environment.
