• The dependence of the reaction on dissolved gas under ultrasonic irradiation was examined in the standpoint of decreasing sonolysis. Sonolysis of the KI solution was adopted for the probe of chemical reactions. The rate of reaction decreased with introducing CO_2 content. In the case of 20% CO_2-Ar, the chemical reaction was almost blocked. Sonolysis of ethanol solution was also examined.
