A remote control system over internet protocol (IP) has been studied for a decade, and it is revealed that a force feedback (FFB) plays an important role in such kind of systems. Generally it is difficult to recognize acceleration only from visual or auditory information, and that is an issue for the remote driving system. We have been developed a remote driving system over IP using model car, which is modification of radio control car. A CCD camera and an acceleration sensor, as well as micro computer including WLAN system, are mount in the car. The user can drive as if he is in a cockpit of the model car since the cockpit synchronously moves as FFB depending on the accelerations information in the model car. This paper addressed the effectiveness of the accelerations information for the driving system. As a result of the experiment, accelerations information given by FFB improves the driving accuracy for the remote driving system.
