Feasibility of droplet-size measurement with a direct freezing sampling method has been investigated experimentally. A thermally insulated container and a sampling dish were employed to sample the droplets directly. The droplets were frozen by liquid nitrogen in the sampling dish. A CCD camera with a microscope zoom lens was used to take the photographs of droplets inside the sampling dish. The photographs were processed by a software.
