A new approach for finding optimistic solutions in quadratic-linear bilevel problems is considered. First, we investigate the interrelations between these problems and problems with constraint which is represented as a difference of two convex functions (d.c. constraint). Further on the basis of the global search strategy for d.c. constraint problems a special global method for quadratic-linear bilevel problems is developed.
