Information communication system is an infrastructure for a variety of activities of societies and companies. New information communication technology (ICT) such as a portable/mobile device, social network, cloud computing, and information security system are emerging. The 2011 off the Pacific coast of Tohoku Earthquake caused serious damage in the Tohoku region. The ICT were useful in disaster recovery activities. Mobile phone was effective. Business continuity plan (BCP) helped early restoration. It is important to share the experience in order to consider the correspondence to future disaster.In this paper, I report our experience on business continuity activities as IT Company and how we used ICT just after the 2011 off the Pacific coast of Tohoku Earthquake. I examined the values and challenges which the newest ICT performed in this earthquake disaster. I will work on to improve future information communication systems based upon our experiences. More research is required to find out how ICT can contribute to the recovery and rebirth of society after severer disasters.
