LRU is a standard memory management strategy. Although it is used in various situations, LRU cannot achieve good performance on the data which follow Zipf's law. In this paper, we propose a simple memory management strategy: LessFU. It is a fake LFU. Although the idea and its implementations are extremely simple, LessFU shows good performance on the data which follow Zipf's law. Since recent studies found the generality of the data which follow Zipf's law, LessFU is an interesting technique to handle "Big data".
