• The purpose of this paper is to discuss about success factors of enterprise resource planning (ERP) system implementation in Japan through literature review of ERP implementation of various countries. Though many of the factors for success are common to various cases of implementation, some factors shows different relations to success, by countries. The authors discuss about characteristics of management style in Japan and consider about what is needed for Japanese firms of achieve effectiveness from ERP implementation.
