• Velocity structure models are basic and important information for strong ground estimation because surface ground motion is strongly affected by sedimentary structures. In this report, sensitive frequency ranges and effects on ground motions of both deep and shallow sedimentary structure models are discussed. Recently, geo-information databases have been developed by several organizations. Required resolutions of the database for realistic ground motion estimation are also discussed.
