As a result of conducting surveys at forty child care centers regarding the current state of nutrition educationplanning and nutrition education at child care centers, the following became clear:1)When you compare the current state of planning for nutrition education at public child care centersand private child care centers, there are many public child care centers actively practicing planning fornutrition education.2)Among private child care centers, about sixty percent of such centers employ a dietician. However,about forty percent of the child care centers have a dietician cooperate in the preparation of child careplans, and about twenty percent have a dietician cooperate in the preparation of teaching plans.3)More than seventy percent of the directors of child care centers believe that child care providers andstudents at child care provider training facilities need to have more knowledge than the current state regarding"diet and nutrition for children."In order for child care providers and dieticians to be able to unite and address nutrition education, it isbelieved that there is a necessity for child care provider training facilities to provide students with correctknowledge regarding "diet and nutrition for children," to present guidance and actual examples, etc. wheninstructing, and to prepare an environment where it is easy to instruct.
