Kagawa National College of Technology(K.N.C.T.)cooperated with the local Chamber of Commerce and the localgovernment for the purpose of having a town revival. One of the projects was holding an annual Street Pole Vault Eventover the past two years. In this paper, the educative effects on our students that have resulted from holding these events arediscussed.The results of the questionnaire survey after the event show that students at K.N.C.T. understood the difficultiesencountered by hosts and supporters of such an event or match, who are usually teachers and students of other schools,and so much, that the students became grateful for everyone's effort and for being able to participate in other events andmatches as well.Because the survey was taken only of K.N.C.T. students this time, it is difficult to know how many visitors really feltenthusiastic about pole vaulting. This needs to be looked at in a further study.
