Kochi National College of Technology started having ten minute morning gatherings, prior to firstperiod classes, in the 2007 academic year. During this time, homeroom and vice-homeroom teachersprovided vital information to the students. Because this gathering is prior to first period, studenttardiness is prevented. In addition to this, during these short meetings we performed a one-pointlesson to the class 4 of the first-year students in an academic majors mixed class. These lessons givestudent guidance issues including questionnaires regarding student life. In this report, we detail theexecution of these lessons over a one year period ,and discuss the effects.
