This paper describes the optimal temperature and lubrication requirements for deep drawing in magnesium AZ31B alloy and non-combustible magnesium AMX 602 alloy. At room-temperature, they can't be plastically formed. However, at temperatures from 180℃ to 200℃, the Limiting Drawing Ratio (LDR) of AZ31B becomes 2.6. The optimal forming condition of AZ31B is a temperature range from 180℃ to 200℃. If more than 200℃, the LDR gradually decreases. The LDR of non-combustible magnesium AMC602 is 2.6. at 320℃. The optimal temperature condition of non-combustible magnesium AMX602 is assumed to be over 300℃. The thickness after each alloy being deep drawn decreases the most from the punch shoulder to the area around the side wall. The magnesium alloys are similar in thickness change to deep drawing with other materials.
