Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture lies in the Northeast of China. It is a famous place for her location in the border of three countries as well as her beautiful scene of Changbai Mountain. It is bounded by China with Far east of Russia on the east and with DPRK (North Korea) on the South. And it is also adjacent to Sea of Japan. Yanbian is an important and nearest region to link up China with Northeast countries, and with Eurosia. It will become a land bridge from the Pacific to the European continent. Yanbian has built the primarily industrial foundation, occupying the human and material potentials which are suitable for the area exploitation of Northeast Asia and economic development. Yanbian is the ideal area for long and middle-term investment. The UNDP and the UNIDO have drawn up and signed the development project called Tumen River Area Development Programme (TRADP), which taking Hunchun City as its center, is a global project across the countries of the Northeast Asia. Therefore, Tumen River Area is one of the few transnational economic item which has been prepared well enough and involved more countries and areas as well as been coordinated through more channels. It brings opportunities for Yanbian economic development, and it will become the most valuable condition and development resource.
