In the both sides of Korean peninsular the new governments were set up in the situation of serious economic crisis, recently. In the North, Jong-Il Kim has taken office as General Secretary, and in the South, Dae-Jung Kim was installed as President. For two Kims, it is the first task to find a way out of economic crisis. This paper aims at surveying present economic affairs in Korean peninsular, and making causes of economic difficulties and reactions of the new government to it clear, and viewing economic interchange between North-South Koreas. It is a urgent necessity for North Korea to alleviate the food problem and to check the negative economic growth. On the other hand, South Korea has to fulfill the policy program of structural adjustment that the government agreed with IMF in return for urgent relief financing. Therefore it is not likely that two Koreas will start full-scale economic interchange for some years to come. But it is obvious that if two Koreas is continuing consultations regarding economic interchange peacefully, it contributes to economic revitalizing of both two Koreas.
