• This Essay is consists of 2 fundamental surveys concerning about the options analysis in EIA. A survey was conducted by E-mail using E-mail mailing list in order to find EISs that options are written in. As the result, 17 cases that options are set concerning the part where project has not become settled are found. These 17 cases are divided into 2 categories. One is "parallel type" that options are examined in parallel. 12 cases are categorized into "parallel type". The other is "improvement type" that a new option is made based on former plans. 5 cases are categorized into "improvement type". The other survey was conducted by the Internet questionnaire in order to ask 1,000 persons concerning about EIA what kind of comment to make about EIA for the fictitious project.
