The purpose of this paper is to consider that why Japanese red cross society decided to train nurses for themselves rather than hiring other training school of nursing. This paper analyzed a reason of internalization with the capability approach. Asset specificity leads to shortage of supply capability in market and difficulty of information transfer. From the case study, we discover that internalization arise from these factors. While Transaction cost theory explain that problems of contract causes internalization, we suggest that problems of capability causes internalization.
