A measurement technique of arbitrary reflection coefficient using 90-degree 3dB hybrid coupler and sliding short is proposed to reduce the uncertainty of the measurement. The measurement system is the same as that with 180-degree 3dB hybrid coupler and sliding short proposed by us. In principle, the reflection coefficients of reference standard and device under test (DUT) are summed up in the transmission coefficient of the measurement system, the reflection coefficient of DUT can be extracted by using the sliding short as the reference standard. This technique can be applicable the measurement of the radiation efficiency of the antenna based on the Wheeler method. To evaluate the uncertainty of efficiency measurement leads to the validity of proposed technique.
