• We develop perfectly-matched-layer finite-difference time-domain (PML-FDTD) modeling and analysis of surface plasmon polariton (SPP) structures. SPP structures are utilized for two types of compact optical waveguides. Furthermore, computational improvement in FDTD for the analysis of SPP structures is discussed.
