In this article, we propose a distributed authenticated data structure for range queries, which is called distributed authenticated segment tree (DAST). It is constructed by applying the distributed Merkle tree to the distributed segment tree. Furthermore, to utilize the load balancing mechanism in the distributed segment tree, the technique for super-efficient verification is also adopted. It is also shown how to modify the DAST to prevent the proof of the answer to a range query from leaking information on data outside the segment of the range query.
