In 2008, Wenchuan Earthquake occurred in Sichuan Province of China. Although the Chinese Government had limited private rescue and support activities before, a number of private nonprofit organizations participated in the recovery of Wenchuan Earthquake. However, it has been pointed out that nonprofit organizations’ activity was insufficient. On the other hand, a significant number of activities by nonprofit organizations were taken place in Japan, of which natural disaster frequently occurred.This paper discusses the efficient methodology in the aspect of disaster rescue and support by nonprofit organization from the perspective of management and sociology, and moreover analyses the relations between management and abundance of resource, such as human resources, material resources, capital resources, information resources etc. The hypothesis was illustrated by the case of rescue and support activities of Volunteer Yamagata, which based on SEIKATSU CLUB Yamagata COOP, in 2011 Great Eastern Japan Earthquake.This study reveals the efficient way of carrying out activities by nonprofit organization, and, according to this result, proposes advices concerning the practice of nonprofit organization in China.
