We propose a laboratory experiment searching for the gravitational scalar field supposed to provide with a way to understand the accelerating universe. We make use of the photon-photon scattering. In order to overcome the weak signals due to the gravitationally weak coupling, we exploit the resonance nature of the scalar field, also appealing to intensified laser beam.
