"The purpose of this paper is to develop a consultation system for a student counseling institution at Kagawa National College of Technology. The data of cases handled by the institution from 2009 to 2011 was obtained. The average number of cases in this three-year period was approximately 320. The consultants had been approached by many female as well as advanced course students. Consultation was most frequently sought for college academics, followed by career plans, college life, and personal relationships. Among the lower-grade students, both males and females approached the institution for consultation regarding college academics. Furthermore, the upper-grade students sought consultation mainly for their career plans."
