In the case of lowering groundwater level in construction, adverse effects of groundwater level drop in the surrounding areas may be concerned. Therefore it is necessary to analyze the amount of the groundwater level drop in the surrounding areas of the construction site in advance, and to study on potential drawbacks regarding groundwater such as decrease in pumped-up water volume or drying-up of wells. In general, these are obtained by Jacob's formula. Jacob's formula requires hydraulic parameters such as transmissivity coefficient, storage coefficient, pumping time and volume. In this paper, by setting the influence radius, a calculation method to obtain the amount of groundwater level drop similar to that by Jacob's formula, without using those hydraulic parameters, is presented.
