This is an introduction to the utilization of a portable typed mobile personal computerserver along with a virtual Windows Operation System for doing test through PCs. Basically the concept of a server computer is recognized to be permanently located at one place without moving around so often. In that case, we teachers are not able to alter the content of the test just before commencement. On the contrary, if we use a mobile PC server, this problem will be easily solved. At the same time, of course, both the teacher and students can know the test result and scores, and also the teacher can sum up all the datum concerning the test.In my case I mostly adopted English listening tests for this system, which make students more interested in taking the test without reading the texts for each question.Compared to text-based questions, listening tests will take more time for students to complete these types of test as the voice files are to be downloaded each time students try to listen to the questions. However this will be a minor problem in total.I have examined this kind of attempt by carrying around a Macintosh notebook PC installed a virtual Windows OS (XP professional) along with the mobile server software named `My_Server' that has been pioneered by Yasuhisa Matsumura, Professor, Nagoya University of Foreign Studies. I will continue to make use of this server software in order to promote the convenience of test approach for the benefitof both teachers and students for the future of English language education.
