A 3 kilometer interferometric gravitational wave detector, Large Cryogenic Gravitational Telescope (LCGT), has been funded recently in Japan. The construction will start very soon at Kamioka mine in an underground site. We describe the science and schedule of LCGT together with some key technologies tested in prototype experiments in this document.
