This paper describes a practical method for a humanoid robot to detect a door and its knob using vision. It is required to integrate the motion and the perception to open a door. In this sense, we propose a method that detects markers on a door and its knob and computes the pose of the marker while a robot is walking. The proposed method is tested on a humanoid robot and shows its simplicity to robustly detect a door and its knob.
