Two known furocoumarins, isoimperatorin and oxypeucedanin, were isolated as the major positive inotropic constituents from a Bhutanese medicinal plant, Bampo, which was tentatively assigned to the rhizomes of Cortia wallichiana DC. (Umbelliferae). The inotropic activities of other furocoumarins were also tested.
