• Approximately 6,000 institutions had qualified for EcoAction 21 certification and registration by the end of 2010. EcoAction 21 has been widely implemented as an environmental management system by small and medium enterprises. Characteristics of EcoAction 21 and its system requirements are introduced, and the state and the future problems of the current EcoAction 21 are summarized.
