A phase field model is introduced for multicellular systems, which can describe the shape of each cell and the collective behavior of cells concurrently. The time evolution keeping the local distributions of chemicals in the cells is also available. Moreover, this model is suitable for numerical simulations because of its simple form. Introducing a public variable, one can perform simulations without using the large computational memories. The numerical results of the cell division, the chemotaxis, and the cell adhesion will be also discussed.
