• For the realization of coeducational Home Economics, the Association of Promoting Coeducational Home Economics made a positive appeal to the government. The opinions of the government at the time included the content about the gender division of work, content ok(OK) coeducational Home Economics, and the matters concerning coeducational system. Moreover, the basic idea of the Committee of Home Economics Study (1984) was that of coeducation. This was considered as a ratification of convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against women. However, the Committee also gave a consideration to those opposed of coeducation.
