Akanuma Bridge Intersection of Hokuriku Shinkansen was constructed in the place that is adjacent to the railway track of the Shinkansen. In addition, the generation of the gas caused by the soft subsoil was expected at the construction site. The large diameter pile had to be constructed under such conditions. This paper reports the construction management that it was safely constructed and the quality was secured without stopping the Shinkansen operation.
