• The LHCb experiment has been taking data since the start-up of the Large Hadron Collider. With the first 2010 data, after successfully completing the commissioning of the detector, the reconstruction, and the data analysis, first results on particle production and on the bb^^- cross section have been published. In 2010, about 38pb^<-1> have been collected at increasing instantaneous luminosities and preliminary results on D and B meson decays have been presented. The large data sample of about 1fb^<-1> LHCb expects to collect during next data taking period will provide sensitivity to new physics beyond the standard model.
