In the present Japanese Consumer Law it seems to me that there is no standard to recognize cooling-off and the sphere to be appliable is restrictive. However, in consumer contracts cooling-off is very important right to guarantee the formation of free intention of consumers; accordingly it is necessary that cooling-off applies to more types of consumer contracts. So in this report I intend to pick out "a factor to distort the formation of free intention of consumers" as a ground for cooling-off and to extend the sphere to be appliable.
