This article shows several features of wave field in shallow coastal water measured with X-band nautical radar at stormy condition. The measurements were conducted at research pier HORS located on Kashima Coast. The radar can follow the propagations of wave crests and the final swash motions at the shoreline. The wind waves refract almost uniformly on the beach with constant longshore wave number and corresponding frequency. Low frequency swash motions were observed at the shoreline.
