This study is aimed to observe directly the atmospheric turbulent characteristics and heat energy transport into atmosphere on the tidal flat of the heterogeneous and non-stationary surface accordingly to the tidal motion. Diurnal variation of the skin surface temperature was strongly controlled by tidal cycle. The soil surface temperature was increased by more than 6degC within 2 or 3 hours during exposition of the bottom soil. The sensible and latent heat flux into the atmosphere increased accordingly to the surface temperature. The latent heat flux was still higher than 100Wm^<-2> during several hours after the sunset due to the entry of the warmer seawater from offshore.
