In this paper, we study the Runge-Kutta Discontinuous Galerkin (RKDG) Method for the Euler equations with thermal diffusion and stiff source term. We use the local discontinuous Galerkin (LDG) approach to discretize the diffusion term. Numerical examples show good performance for resolving stiff relaxation problems. The RKDG method is a useful numerical method for thermally unstable radiative hydrodynamics.
