RS-232 serial port has been replaced in personal computers by USB port. But USB interface is more complex than the RS-232 standard because it includes protocols for transferring data to devices and network. It is necessary for educational training boards to capsule complexity of USBprotocol.An educational training board for experiments with USB-FSIO is based on USB2.0 interface, but it is easy to learn because microcomputer firmware in USB-FSIO, visual based interface sampleprogram, and Windows OS device driver system make it simple. I/O binary signal values can be input directly in new programming code. And RS-232-based educational training contents with PWM outputs can be replaced USB-FSIO-based training content without many changes.
