In this paper, course contents of Developmental Practicum I &II, as well as changes in students' attitudes toward "child care support", were compared; in addition, a curriculum for fostering child care support was reviewed. As a result, students in Developmental Practicum I, who visited and made comparative reviews of several sites offering a variety of support, learned about the role of child care support while interacting with visiting parents and children. In Developmental Practicum II, where students experienced working as staff members at the sites, they learned that the fundamentals of being preschool teachers were indispensable qualifications for being care supporters; they were also aware that the sites needed to function as place for the parents and their children to spend time together rather than providing them counseling, and that the support style should be indirect. In a course for fodtering child care support, the process of theoretical sutudy→observational experience→review→practical experience→review is effective, and thus reflecting on practical experiences immediately during the practicum, recording those experiences, having discussions on said experiences organized by category, as well as practicing repeatedly at more than one site deepened the understanding of the students.
