Researches indicated that the form of silver/tungsten contact material arc burnout at 400Hz is stasis, not an eddy flow style at 50Hz; meanwhile, the area of the contact burnout at 400Hz is less than that of 50Hz, and the local ablation on the surface layer at 400Hz is more serious. Among CAgW_<50>, CAgN_<10>, CAgC_4 and CAgCdO_<15> contact material at 400Hz, no matter what the performances of arc erosion resistance or welding resistance, the capacities of the CAgW_<50> material is the best.
